"Mr Willy Wonka can make marshmallows that taste of violets, and rich caramels that change colour every ten seconds as you suck them, and little feathery sweets that melt away deliciously the moment you put them between your lips. He can make chewing-gum that never loses its taste, and sugar balloons that you can blow up to enormous sizes before you pop them with a pin and gobble them up. And, by a most secret method, he can make lovely blue birds' eggs with black spots on them, and when you put one of these in your mouth, it gradually gets smaller and smaller until suddenly there is nothing left except a tiny little DARK RED sugary baby bird sitting on the tip of your tongue."

I believe in hand making clothes like they did in the old days, when it wasn't just shopping, it was an experience. Betty Cox is about buying a beautiful piece, whether it is off the peg or custom made, receiving a box or a package in the post wrapped in tissue paper and knowing it was meant for you. I aim to make every piece unique, where I can use recycled or vintage fabrics to match the vintage patterns and styles that inspired them. However if you see something you love, and it has sold or you want something made a touch differently, I will recreate an item as best I can upon request.

Accepted payment methods

Paypal Visa Mastercard Discover Apple Pay Klarna Giftcard
Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits

Returns & exchanges

See item details for return and exchange eligibility.

Payment

I accept Paypal as my main method of payment. If you are unable to use Paypal and are desperate for an item please contact me and I will do my best to help. If I have not received your Paypal payment within 10 days of purchase I will relist the item. Note: you don't have to have a Paypal account to pay using Paypal. When you check out click the pay by PayPal and you will be forwarded to a secure page, which gives you the option to pay using your debit or credit card.

Shipping

I will do my best to ship my items anywhere, if your country is not covered by my shipping listings or you live in an unusual area please contact me and I will help in any way I can. Insurance is available on all items on request and an extra fee will be charged. For my most expensive items I may include insurance but will always let you know in the listing that I have included it.

I will always endeavour to ship an item as quickly as possible after receiving cleared payment, approximately 1-2 days after. An email will be sent to you as soon as your item is dispatched.

Obviously I cannot be responsible for delays occurred once an item has left my hands. However if it has been an unreasonable amount of time and you have still not received your item, please contact me and I will help in any way I can (this includes refunding money minus shipping costs, if we determine this to be the best course of action). I will always obtain proof of postage and will track expensive items and will offer tracked postage on request.

Shipping internationally: the buyer is responsible for any customs charges that are incurred upon the item's journey. I will declare the item as accurately as I can in order to ensure its quickest and smoothest delivery to you. If you have any queries or questions please feel free to contact me.
